Travel

Spectators are advised to use public transport (especially trams and trains) as every valid Australian Open ticket or Ground Pass entitles you to use the free Yarra Trams shuttle from the city (Flinders Street) to Melbourne Park.

Trams
A free shuttle tram service will be in operation. From 17-30 January, 2005 your valid Australian Open ticket or Ground Pass provides you with free use of Yarra Trams Route 70, (City – Wattle Park) and the shuttle service between Melbourne Park and the City (Flinders Street). The shuttle service will operate until one hour after the completion of play (including Twilight and Night sessions).

Trains
Richmond, Flinders Street and Jolimont stations are within easy walking distance from Melbourne Park. Access to the venue from Flinders Street is via the signed route through Federation Square and Birrarung Marr, on the north side of the Yarra River. NightRider Bus Service
An hourly service operates from the City Square in Swanston Street commencing at 12.30am on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Croydon/Lilydale, Dandenong, Eltham,
Epping, Frankston/Mornington/Rosebud,
St. Albans/Melton, Werribee.

Taxis
A taxi rank is located on the north side of Swan Street, adjacent to The Oval.

Ferry and Water Taxi Service
Operates between Southgate and the landing adjacent to Melbourne Park. For further details contact Parks Victoria hotline 13 19 63.

Parking
Public parking is available (subject to availability) at Yarra Park via Gates: 3 for day & night sessions, 5 for day session only.
Gate 7 – corporate parking only
Delays may be experienced exiting Yarra Park due to construction works. Parking is also available in and around the Melbourne CBD. For location details contact the City of Melbourne hotline 9658 9658
No public parking will be available at Melbourne Park and Olympic Park during the Australian Open. Parking for people with a disability
